| 內容簡介： |
学术英语是高校大学英语教学的主要内容，学术英语分为通用学术英语（EGAP：English for GeneraI Academic Purposes）和专门学术英语（ESA P=English for Specific Academic Purposes）~。前者主要训练学生各学科通用的学术口语交流能力和学术书面交流能力，例如，听讲座、做笔记、报告展示、撰写文献综述和课程论文、参加学术讨论等能力。后者是以某一特定学科领域（如金融、法律、工程、医学等）为内容的英语教学，注重这一学科的特定语言（如词汇、句法、篇章、体裁）和工作场所交流技能的教学。

新核心学术英语（EAP）系列教材包括通用学术英语教材和专门学术英语教材。通用学术英语教材不被限定在专业内容框架内，而是围绕人文科学和自然科学的话题进行跨学科的听、说、读、写学术技能的训练。专门学术英语教材则按农业、工程、金融、法律、海事、新闻、医学、心理学等学科进行特定领域的语言教学，选材原则是体现该专业的语言结构和语篇体裁的特点，不追求专业知识的系统性和全面性，目的是训练学生在该学科领域内的听、说、读、写等交流技能而非学科内容的掌握。
